Final installment of the four-part homily series on different views of the Cross. This one being Jesus' view. Jesus had a real human mind, will, and emotions. We'd be wrong to not see real courage and a real, actual faith in his going toward death. Adam did not trust in God and fell to temptation. Abraham reckoned God could raise up even from the dead to fulfill His promises. Jesus in his human intellect saw the horror and doubt of the Cross, but showed himself our "pioneer of faith" in accepting it. Despite feeling "abandoned" by his God, Jesus choose to entrust himself into his Father's hands.
